23 Greetings all.....
I am getting ready to wire and mount my osd. I have looked all over the web and maybe I am just not looking in the right places or I'm too stupid to see the forest for the trees. Is there a good way to physically mount the micro osd, or is it even necessary? the thing is so small and light that maybe the tension from the wires is enough to secure it? Comments/Suggestions/Ridicule?? Thanks folks.

5 My guess is that you should be fine if it is that small and light to let it "freehang" as long as you have it electrically isolated with heatshrink or tape to prevent accidental shorting.

23 That's kind of what I was thinking......it's like 15mm sq. and about 7g I think. Thanks for the response!.

23 Ok...so what I am hearing here is that there is no "standard" way to mount theses things...it's totally dependent on your particular build and whatever physical features you have available to use.....or not. I like the way Luc did it, but I am working with another type of PDB (ZMR) with the Overdraft board. Appreciate the input gents! : )

23 As best I can tell looking at mine it does not have a dedicated mounting area for the micro board. There is a way to mount the standard board UNDER the FC as I understand it, but the micro is only about a third the size of the standard board and wont fit. I'll ponder it a little more...thank you for your help.

23 Look reasonable to me, but I am really new at this....seems to me that one ground from the osd to the central ground loop on the PDB would be sufficient? Thanks for you help! : )

3 Is this a 4S or 3S build? Are you using a 5V and/or 12V regulator? What voltage range do your camera and VTx need to operate? I'm just asking this, because perhaps we can make a complete drawing of your connections.

23 Well. I wanted to make it both so I could use more aggressive props and not kill too much flight time, but everyone is telling me just to go 4S and be done with it. I think the camera is good with anything from 16 - 9 so it'll be ok with either....the VTX is good with 7 - 20 so it'll be ok too.
