Gremlins! This is a case of the gremlins...they jumped from one craft to another. Listening to what you are explaining, it seems that both had the issue develop around the same time. What change is common across your setup?

I'm trying to figure this stuff out, not doing too good.
Now the ET 125 is finally set up correctly in beta flight, except motor 1 won't spin in any mode.
The Elf gets in the air, hovers,then flips.

Dump file. You are asking a person who is very new to do a dump file, I have no idea how to do that at this point in the hobby.

Is it Betaflight? Open up the configurator, hit the CLI tab, type "diff" and hit enter. copy/paste all the parameters here. (diff gives you only the variables that differs from a clean flash, while dump gives you all the variables)

 No worries, that's what we're here for! 

The CLI tab will soon become your friend as it is more or less your window into the FCs code/configuration itself. With some simple typing of commands you can find some very valuable information. Top 5 to remember n my opinion... "save" "help" "dump" "diff" and "save". By typing "dump" will give you a full system rundown of everything. Typing "diff" it will only list the things that are different than stock setup. Help will give you a list of commands to type, and type "save" after you have changed any settings or they will not take.
