Motor Spacers?
#1
I need to mount the Multistar 2308's a little higher as the Trifecta (the Build:  http://intofpv.com/t-triple-treat-quantu...ecta-truck) arms don't give enough clearance for the motor shaft at the bottom.

Only needs to be 2-3mm lift.

Does anyone make such a thing?  I would use these https://hobbyking.com/en_us/carbon-fiber...-of-4.html but then I would be tempted to use 9" props which ill work with my motor and esc combo...  But well you know the drill - scope creep and all that.

So how would you resolve the problem?

Make a plate from some scrap carbon sheet or similar?
Use washers?
Use the extension plates anyway?

How about cutting those in half and not extending? (buy two and have a spare)

Edit: Oops - see they come in sets of 4. That will give you a bunch of spares. Big Grin

Had a scurry in the carbon fibre bin at our workshop (where we do the car builds) and there's some nice 3mm offcuts that I can punch out with the holesaw and then tweak. Or just drop another bunch of money with hobbyking. *sigh*

I always get personal gratification from making something myself, from the "junk drawers" I have stowed around, as appossed to paying someone else for a product I'll probably end up tweaking anyway Wink
Just my 2 cents, but if it's anything like the work youve done for that Belkin kit car, I say make it Wink (been following your Other Things We Do thread)

On a side note. I'd be curious to see if someone were to softmount those extensions with anti-vibe tape or similar. Could have different effects than traditional/current softmounting, no?

2-4mm rubber from the local department store?

I hadn't thought of that (rubber) - as it happens we have some trim seals I could use. Would be more challenging to work with because over tightening would still pull the motor shaft into the cups on the arm.

Will do some thinking.
