I'm using a rubber cleaning clove, enough adhesion on the motor to do anything you want and you will not change the form of the motor.

Here something you can do on the cheap if you already have a spare set of regular pliers. Cut a 1/2" wide strip of foam tape (servo tape, weather-stripping tape, 3M mounting tape, etc), and fasten it to the inside jaws of the pliers. To hold it in place, put some heat-shrink tubing over the plier jaw (cheap heat-shrink can be found at your local hardware store in the electrical department). Or you can hold the foam tape in place by wrapping the jaw with regular electrical tape.
This worked great for me!
PS. Depending on the size and thickness of the heat-shrink, 2 or 3 layers of heat-shrink alone would probably be fine as well.
