Question
Hey guys. So im planning on upgrading my motor and ecs. Currently im using 12amp ecs with 2204 2300kv motors 210 frame and 3s lipo. I was looking at the racerstar motors and ecs on banggood and i heard good stuff about he racerstar stuff. I was thinking of these in the links below or if any other suggestions. Hoping to use some 3 blade props with theses 4045. Thanks  Thinking

I don't have a lot of experience with Racestar products. However for a low-cost but well performing build I can recommend DYS XS20A ESCs and RCX SE2205 2700kV motors. You can get them very cheap from myrcmart.com, especially if you choose the no-warranty option which is what I have been doing for months now.

Performance wise on a light frame and props, this combo competes with much more expensive components. I am not sure about motor durability yet, time will tell tho RCX sells motor bells for $3.99 which are very easy to swap.

I would stick to better known products like jordan Marinov said!

Dys 20A http://www.banggood.com/4PCS-DYS-XS-20A-...mds=search
or the 30A for more options in later Motor upgrades...

I have had good experience with the escs from racerstar and ok experience with their motors. The motors seems to get a bit noisy after a while, so I guess the bearings are not top notch. But for the price of them, I would say you can't go wrong, just don't expect the same performance and durability as some of the top line motors.

I would probably go for the rf2205 instead. It has nsk bearings which should be better than the bearings on the rs2205. Quadmcfly has done a test on the rf2205 and it doesn't look too bad:

I installed these motors (Emax RS2205 clones/copy or something) on my quad yesterday and wasn't expecting much but I must say I was very surprised on how they performed. The bearings were tight and when doing a vibration check in betaflight motor tab, there was no considerable noise or anything. In the air they felt very nice and as good as or maybe even better than the racerstar RS2205 motors. I have no idea about what to expect from long-therm durability, but they were so cheap that I just had to try them. I paid 20 dollars for them incl shipping two months ago.

are you using 4 inch props (4045)? if so, you will probably not see any major difference if you go with a 2205 2300kv motor. Maybe you should considder a 2600kv motor instead.

the link is a new version of the br2205, the br2205s. if they are any better, I dont know. You get them in 2300kv and 2600kv:

Thanks guys for all the info and suggestions. Ill check these out and make a decision. I would like to use 4045 tri-blade props. I have allot i bought before not knowing my 12amp escs would not handle them. Now that im upgrading i would like to use them so i think i will go a 2600kv motor. I was told i need at least a 20amp esc to use the 4045 tri-blade props.
