Moskito 70 - Smallest Brushless Micro Quad
#1
Check out the Moskito70! It's impressive how small FuriosFPV's made this thing given all the features it has. The tiny 20x20cm FC is F3 with PDB integrated, even has a built-in current sensor! Big Grin You won't believe it, this is the first quad I tried DShot on! LOL

In this post I took it apart and see what's inside. However the Moskito seems to be really picky about battery, and power-hungry. I've flown the quad with a battery that is too heavy and too low C rating, didn't feel right so I've ordered some more batteries for the test.

Will update the review with further findings later!

Nice little bird and great, detailed review Smile With Grisha we are waiting for some Giant Power "50C" 360mah 2s packs, also to use with 10000kv motors. Will see how it goes, if not well, we also eyeballed some 335mah 30C 2s packs from SLS - their nano 1s packs win in all the charts I've seen, so they are probably one of better choices out there Smile
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car

FuriousFPV recommended these battery to be used with the Moskito, might fit in your model as well Smile

1. Red jst plug
2. Width of battery is less than 24mm
3. 30C+ discharge rate

What a review! Thanks for the detail.

Couple of things I've observed with these style motors...
Take this with a grain of salt as most tests have been with much more aggressive Furious FPV 1935 style props, but it appears that the only things to be gained with extra blades is a lot more power consumption and a hair LESS thrust (but likely much less noise).  For example, on 8000kv 1103's:

RX1935 (4): 62g/5.6A
RX1935 (2): 63g/3.94A
Ladybird 55mm, 68g/3.62A
Triblade: 62gr/4.27A

Some of the most efficient props are the Ladybird 55mm, 68g/3.62A.
I'm 99% sure that the props in the Moskito are clones of the crappy brandless triblade hubsan that everyone scorns but with AN EXTRA BLADE (said in the "You've won .... A BRAND NEW CAR" voice).

I don't know how many extra props you have but might be worth a try to cut them down to 2 or bore out and cut down the ladybirds... I've been using bored out (1.45mm) Rolling Spider props on 1103 8000kv's and they're great ... but they are SO LOUD.

These guys: https://hoverbot.io/ have a number of builds running ladybird clones and also cut down 3030 props (for sound comparison)

Not JST, but i've been using these: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-nano...02s35.html
It's weird to run straight off the balance lead (with the center peg removed) but it works!

Anyhoos - just food for thought. Thanks again!

Yes that's a good point, I found the same with the Eachine E010 when cutting down 2 out of 4 blades I had more flight time Smile
I only have 2 sets of props, so I will try to fly with the original props a bit more to get a better feel before I cut them down to 2 blades Smile

thanks for the suggestions!

Meanwhile I know Furious is making a 2-blade version (with higher pitch?) should be available soon.
