Molex connector loose on Lipo 2s
#1
So as the title states, I have a Molex connector LiPo Battery (2s) which is the one that came with my quad. The Molex connector on the battery is loose, the specific lead is the charging lead.

It’s not coming off yet, but it’s loose, and I know lipos aren’t a joke, so I’m wondering if this is worth repairing, or if this is a dispose of type situation.
I’ve been recommended by several people that use LiPo Batteries to use hot glue to reinforce the Molex connector. It can be peeled off, it’s not conductive, and again, it’s still connected, just loose.

I will say I’m not a fan of this connection type, but it’s what the q90c uses. To fix this issue from reoccurring I’ve lurchased a Molex to jst adapter and will shorten the adapter, and use jst style batteries, however most lipos still have that second plug as a Molex.
How can I avoid this completely?
Sorry if I used stupid words or wrong terminology, I’m new at this, and trying to learn before I make a bad situation.
I am charging in Lipo bags, have ordered a balancing charger and jst batteries, however this is the stock battery and is charged with a usb style charger.

Here is a good link so you can properly describe what connector you are referring to.
http://intofpv.com/t-tiny-jst-connectors-diagrams

Anytime you have more than one cells, you will have more than two connectors. On for discharge and one for balance. Balance connector is always JST-XH.

If you don't like your discharge connector, you can always change it. Depending on the cost of the packs, it might be worth it.

Yeah I messed that all sorts of up, I looked up Molex and it gave me quite clearly the wrong picture, terribly sorry!!
Jst xh is what’s loose.
My q90c uses a losi, so I’m getting a losi to jst-rct to change the connection type to my q90c.
Ok so now that I feel completely stupid....
I’m very new at all of this, so again my bad

This is the adapter and the the batteries I ordered, I know people have used these batteries for the q90c so that should be fine, did I mess up the adapter and get the wrong one?

The adapter looks correct. I personally would change the plug on the q90c. Adapter is fine, but you are adding a little bit of weight to a small quad.

Still practicing soldering on some dumper electronics I have lying around and then I absolutely will do that. The battery + and - in the fc are very easy to get to! Just want to be a bit better before I do that. Was considering shortening the adapter, soldering it, and shrink wrapping it to start off, I got 5 adapters for pretty cheap.
The stock battery idk. I may use hot glue to try to save the balancing plug, however if it’s nkt safe to charge the discharge to the same, I may sadly dispose of it because it’s a weird plug for a 2s.
Thanks for checking was worried I’d pulled another stupid and got the wrong type of adapter..

No soldering needed. You can get a JST RCY connector kit. If you are going to continue this hobby, get yourself a good crimper too.

I have the crimping tool, just no connectors.
I’ll see if my local hobby store carries them. If these batteries work I’ll order a few more.
Thanks for the heads up! This will be easier than soldering to the board
