Mobius Mini
#1
For those who own a Mobius Mini, what's your experience with it?

As i liked my old Mobius V3 C2, i'd be especially interested in the B-lens (135°) version... what are your results without using exposure- and wb-lock? Good enough? I'd prefer if it worked well without having to adjust each time when turning it on...

i don't own the Mobius mini, but I have seen people putting it on 2S micro quads like the Furious Moskito, it has some pretty good image quality Smile

I have a couple of them. I am very pleased with the image quality. I do find they need to be slightly soft-mounted (at least the one I've flown on a quad). My only complaint is recording time - less than 30 minutes on a full charge. (It can be powered with an external BEC, but I haven't messed with that yet.)

Thx for the video, that looks really good! And seeing that the size and weight comes with the cost of short battery time, i think i could live with those 30 minutes if i just never forget to charge it before going out... Big Grin

Think i might get one of these, once/if i get my rtfq money back from paypal.

Just be aware that there are two lens versions of these: the original, now called A lens, and the B lens version (wider 135 degree angle).  I've got one of each, but I haven't shot any flying footage with the wider angle.

I'm not sure which one is used in the video above (I think A lens), but here's a YT video with the B lens version on a flying wing:

Thanks, yes i'll go for the 135° lens as i liked the superwide view from my old mobius (the v3 c2 is the one with the widest angle).

Thanks to the video you linked i found another quick & dirty comparison to the Yi. In this one it looks like the lighting adaption of the mini is quite slow, but he also shows the settings at the end (exposure metering: lower weighted, and white balance set to "daylight" instead of "cloudy") which might not be optimal for the test with that overcast sky. But then again imho it's hard to beat the Yi which works very well in difficult lighting except very low light situations.
