Mix Matching Stacks
#1
I want to know everyone's opinion on mix matching components. I am using the Speedybee F7 v2 stack with 6S batteries but I am pulling 60+ amps on full throttle punches. The esc is only rated to 45a and 55a burst.  I want to use an ESC with a higher amp rating.  I don't normally mix match components but will have to in order to get the ESC I need. I'm sure it doesn't matter much but would like to here the opinions of the group.

It makes no difference and sometimes it gives you a better choice of options. You just need to double-check the FC and ESC wiring harness pinout and then reconfigure the wiring in one of the plugs if necessary.

Yeah I know you can use different brand components. If you think about it, when you use single esc's they are almost always going to be a different brand then your flight controller. I always had the thought process though that with 4 in 1 esc's, using the same brand would be more compatible and would have less chance for error such as desync or something like that. Thanks for you're response Snow. I was hoping it would be more of a discussion than it's turning out to be.

I’m cheap, and until I slow down my crashing.. I look for sales.. I do now pay attention to “uarts” and amps..
I would just make sure your components are compatible with the battery size (4s,5s,6s) and ur wiring.. if u have ur a component wired to vbat (vtx, camera, rx) make sure their voltage range is correct...safe bet is the 5v pads..

the only one reason for me to get a stack with esc and fc is about value for money. sure its easy plug and play but i doesnt care about.

a desync is only related to the esc. the only thing i can mention is a if the esc is noisy qnd the fc very sensitive to noise: but a good quality shouldnt be that sensitive and shouldnt be noisy anyway.

i believe a nice hobbywing esc is rated for 60a :-)

That's actually the esc I ordered. 80a burst is plenty for what I need.
