Mini Quad Motor/ESC desync
#1
Today when I was flying my mini quad first time for a while, I found that once, maybe twice, I felt like one of the motors might have had some kind of issue - maybe a desync issue or something. My quad momentarily blipped, the pitch changed and then it was okay. It happened very quickly.

I'm running Cobra 2204-2300kvs, littlebee 20a ESCS, betaflight 2.1.6

I changed the motor timing to be medium, it was at medium high. What could be causing this? Would it be demag-compensation?

Is the desync problem only happen in one motor or does it randomly happen in all of them? I had an issue with my front right motor dropping out and it turned out my Naze32 flight controller had a broken oscillator.

Which FC are you using? I have a friend with an identical setup who was having similar issues too so I will ask him.

Also try upgrading to BLHeli 14.4, setting timing to medium high (ensure that your motors don't heat up more). Also, I recommend turning off Tx stick programming once you do the ESC calibration to prevent accidentally changing settings by Tx commands

Good morning. How did you figure out it had a bad oscillator ? . It's just your problem of the front right motor is exactly what i am seeing now. Seems OK then the front right goes down flips and sometimes recovers. Then may do again string away or a couple of seconds later. . Thanks

I guess he means physical damage to the oscillator chip (crystal) on the Naze32.
