Hi guys,
This is my last quad who is using the 3d printing for the frame (SLS technology)
It was printed by Shapeways. The resultat is nice but it is pricy !!!
The weight of the frame alone is 30gr. The distance between motor to motor is 140mm
To powered this little bug I use 1104 motors (4000kV), 3020 prop and 10A esc. It is flying with 2s or 3s lipo. With 2s lipo it is already fast but I believe it is only my flying skills who are too slow
To ease the installation, I printed a specific board, the FC (afromini), the camera and the voltage regulator are glued on it (Hot glue). The video rx is clips on it (I like this feature). This board is then screwed inside the frame.
In order to reduce the drag, I added an angle of 10° on the motors.
There is a special recess to secure the antenna (with a drop of hot glue)
The battery is hold with two velcros and a strap
At the back I added some leds and a buzzer for useful information (lost model, armed, etc)
If people want to built it, the following part are needed.

Remember that the 3d frame is expensive and probably less strong as carbone frame
