Micro Quad Battery Power Cable Swapping Pins
#1
[Image: uqFk0Jpl.png]
Introduction

This user guide will show you how to re-arrange the pins on a Walkera style battery connector. Some batteries (depending on manufacturer) may have a different pinout to others. You can either change the pinout at the battery end (WARNING: this is risky, DO NOT LET THE CONTACTS TOUCH EACH OTHER), or at the adapter connector (a lot safer).

How To

1. The cable

Here is our cable. It comes with the MultiFlite NANO-B-FC v1.1, on the left is the Walkera style MALE connector.

2. Remove the pins

Removing the pin involves pushing in the metal ‘tab’ so that the pin can then be pulled out. The image on the right shows a close up of the pin with the tab pointing up.

Using a small flat headed screwdriver, gently push down vertically on the pin while gently pulling out the cable, when done the cable will slide out effortlessly. Pulling the cable hard will make it more difficult. Try pushing the cable in and out gently while pressing down the tab.

This image shows the pin as it comes out. It should come out with a gentle tug.

3. Bend out the tab

With both cables pulled out, use a knife and get it behind the tab that we just bent down. Put the knife in and bend the tab out to about a 30 degree angle (not much is needed).

The pins should end up looking like this.

4. Insert pins in new order

Simply insert the pins in the new order, with the metal tab facing upwards. Push from as close to the metal connector as possible. Use a small pin to push in further if need be.

5. Done

Done! Before plugging in, align up the battery and connector and check it is all correct. Red to red and black to black. Enjoy!
