41 I am also considering an HM FC for my Meteor65 build. It has a bricked gyro. But I might just get another 5A BetaFPV ELRS board, because they are available. I haven't decided yet. The only thing, is it must have connectors on it.

121 16-Oct-2022, 01:53 AM (This post was last modified: 16-Oct-2022, 01:54 AM by Lemonyleprosy.) My experience with HM has been really hit or miss, because of that, if you decide to go with Happymodel, I would suggest buying through a retailer with a good return policy.
When you get a properly working board the things seem almost bulletproof, but sometimes it takes a return or two to get that working board.
This is only based on my experience, and this is only pertaining to their aio fc’s. I’ve never had a problem with their motors or their ELRS gear, although I haven’t had a whole lot of experience with their motors.
It’s pretty hard to eff up a motor though- no complex circuitry involved.
Dangerous operations.
Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.

1 I believe that dev build that I had installed earlier was the one v-22 suggested (#2693) I believe, and honestly I have had better luck with that than the official releases. The only issue I have is the drifting and I don't believe that has anything to do with that dev build. I now have 5 of these betafpv boards, 2 of them have the unresponsive yaw axis issue and both of these were updated to 4.3.1. One on the initial setup, and the other was yesterday. I did try the hex file posted above but that didn't undo the gyro issue.
The three other fc's are running the dev build, no yaw issues on those but drifting on 2 of them. One is working fine, it is in the met65pro. I have tried different frames and props but no joy with either. I was thinking that maybe the vtx could be causing the and I was going to remove the vtx from the met65 and put it on the 75 as when I removed the 5v for the vtx from that 75, the drifting stopped as I mentioned in my earlier post. That is that fc that was bricked yesterday. I have one of the fc in a mob 75 frame without vtx, camera or canopy and that is drifting after a min or so. If I land and disconnect the battery and then reconnect it, I can fly for six more minutes without drifting. This I believe would eliminate the vtx being the issue. I even went looking for caps to add to the battery connector, but all I got was 100uf 50. I don't know if that would be sufficient. Now that I think of it, the 65 is props in (no drifting) the 75 is props out (drifting) could that motor direction be causing the drift and if so why is it not constant. I even put my met65 acro fc (frsky) in the betafpv75 frame and it's working fine, some tuning needs to be done because if the bigger props I believe, because it's oscillating (tri-blade 40mm) but it's working, no drifting.
I was thinking of getting a set of HM or Betafpv 0802 motors, just to have a spare set for testing fc's or for a new build. I'm glad to hear of the reliability of the HM motors. In testing, I'm amazed at the flight time without the cam and vtx. I'm inspired to do a build that can yeild this type of flight time but with can and vtx. More research need I guess
