The plan was to add an ESC capable of handling whatever was thrown at it in my 6” build. The high 2800kv motors aren’t the strongest and draw a lot of current when loaded up on any kind of aggressively pitched prop. So 6 inch props were going to be stressful to these motors already.
Anyways I figured I would eventually burn the DYS motors. On the 4th pack during several full throttle passes with 6” Ethix K2 props the left rear motor failed after a hard corner. Slinging molten solder out everywhere! I did not know that would happen
Solder on prop
Solder on standoff! Going to have to double check no flecks made it into the stack area!
So now I am excited to try the new motors. T-motor BMS Racing Raptor 2207.5 2700kv
Edit: LOS footage when motor gives out.
New motors ready to go.
