Matek HUBOSD PDB , W/STOSD8, CURRENT SENSOR & DUAL BEC
#1
I normally use Demon Core PDBs with great results, Great PDB's.

But I wanted a simple basic OSD,with VTX/Cam Filter, 12 volt and 5 volt becs.  Now there are a few such boards on the market but bad placement of esc pads and or in general some of the Full minim OSD inspired PDBs are just plain rubbish.  (only my opinion ).

I have been using a Matek HUBOSD PDB , W/STOSD8, CURRENT SENSOR & DUAL BEC  for a few weeks now and have maybe 12 flights on it.

This is proving to be an excellent PDB, and the OSD is perfect for my needs.

The OSD Menu
Notice the small line in the middle, it is a neat artificial horizon, and is great for lining up stuff when you fly.

The display is basic but provides me with just what I want in an OSD.  You can turn the Pilot ID off , it comes off by default.

Description of what the layout means.[Image: Screen%20Shot%202016-09-09%20at%208.45.5...iyzo2l.png] and

Updating the firmware is so simple, Just have an FTDI adaptor and a usb cable  and the software (here: http://www.stosd.com/ )and you are good to go.
Software GUI..easy as.

and here is a pic of it in my Tweaker 5 inch, I have soldered the OSD pins on for easy connection for updates. As you can see, the form factor while large fits perfectly in a 5 inch framed quad. and the esc solder pads are placed in the perfect spots.

Bottom line:

So far I  like this PDB a lot, will keep an eye on it, But, looking like it may be my goto PDB, until something new comes along.

Oh, and the price. roughly $12 to 15.USD

I like this PDB alot. It is so simple, but still everything you need. The only downside for me is, like I have mentioned before, the missing ability to tune your quad from the OSD like you can with MWOSD. But on the other hand, it's simplicity is a big plus for this PDB!

It is the same as the Realacc and you also get it as a 36x36 with fixed xt60 connector on the side if your frame has problems fitting the 46x36 size

I've got one of these on the way, too. I use a RROSD on one of my builds, really happy with it so far. If this is comparable, then it's the same thing for 1/3 the price!

I have 2 quads with the RROSD and the only thing I do not like about them is the crappy esc solder pad layout, These boards are very well laid out.

These are on offer at the moment on Banggood http://www.banggood.com/Realacc-HUBOSD-E...68098.html

Even cheaper if you buy it through the app.

The Realacc and the Matek are made in the same factory. See: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost....stcount=26

How accurate is the current sensor? Did you check that? Would be very much interested!

Also some new firmware releases will be available soon. There is also a version with RSSI, but I didn't find it anywhere (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost....tcount=464 )

It should be pretty acurate, but I haven't checked it. I have a PDB with similar current sensor (shunt resistor) connected to my FC and when this is calibrated in betaflight (value of 380 in the GUI) it is very acurate. It was better than +/-1%. if i remember correctly.

I can fly some batteries and compare it with my charger and come back later with the numbers

That would be very nice!

Yeah, I actually managed to desolder the two bottom wires when soldering wires to the top! The matek board seems much more well laid out. Thanks to Banggood shipping I'm still waiting for it, but I'll post thoughts when I get it: )
