I normally use Demon Core PDBs with great results, Great PDB's.
But I wanted a simple basic OSD,with VTX/Cam Filter, 12 volt and 5 volt becs. Now there are a few such boards on the market but bad placement of esc pads and or in general some of the Full minim OSD inspired PDBs are just plain rubbish. (only my opinion ).
I have been using a Matek HUBOSD PDB , W/STOSD8, CURRENT SENSOR & DUAL BEC for a few weeks now and have maybe 12 flights on it.
This is proving to be an excellent PDB, and the OSD is perfect for my needs.
The OSD Menu
Notice the small line in the middle, it is a neat artificial horizon, and is great for lining up stuff when you fly.
The display is basic but provides me with just what I want in an OSD. You can turn the Pilot ID off , it comes off by default.
Description of what the layout means. and
Updating the firmware is so simple, Just have an FTDI adaptor and a usb cable and the software (here: http://www.stosd.com/ )and you are good to go.
Software GUI..easy as.
and here is a pic of it in my Tweaker 5 inch, I have soldered the OSD pins on for easy connection for updates. As you can see, the form factor while large fits perfectly in a 5 inch framed quad. and the esc solder pads are placed in the perfect spots.
Bottom line:
So far I like this PDB a lot, will keep an eye on it, But, looking like it may be my goto PDB, until something new comes along.
Oh, and the price. roughly $12 to 15.USD
