Matek CTR wiring to Dalrc Engine ESC + build w pics

You can ground it anywhere that has a ground. But if I were you, I would probably use the ground and 5V from VTX.

Race wire. Why not?  Thinking

Let’s see how this goes....

Update - all components mounted, just need to cut and wire esc’s!

Hi all! I might have a camera issue... the vtx powers on and is transmitting to my selected channel as it seems the Laforge is picking up a signal however I’m getting no video or osd. Am I missing a setup feature in betaflight or do I have bigger issues? Sad

Wire the camera signal out to vtx signal in. See if this works just for troubleshooting.

I have it wired like this:

Think I might need to resolder, or is it that I need to enter a cli command for camera control?

If you have no video and no OSD, the issue is likely between the FC, FC to VTX wiring, or the VTX. You can eliminate the FC by wiring the camera straight to VTX. If you do that and still see only black, it might be the VTX itself.

I went down this same path and it turned out i killed my VTX by crashing into my house... wups.

I was about to test this last night and as I was desoldering the wire someone slammed on my home door (some kids w a soccer ball next door) which startled me and ended up flicking a gob of solder right onto the mcu! FML!  Heliorc spring FC it is then.  Angry

Thank you txbdan, voodoo and also thank you Kaitlylyyn for your compliment Smile

You can still save a glob of solder onto MCU.

Heliorc FC will need a PDB.

I tried to remove the solder but it got in between the pin connectors of the chip and I now have a nice solid single connection on one side.  Tried to wick and use a soldering sucker with no luck.  This isn’t ok  right?

With the Helio and this esc I would still need a pdb?  I also have a spare matek f405 ctr and wraith 35amp blheli 32 i was thinking I could use to replace in the frankenbuild I have.  But can use it here if need be.

Do you have hot air station?

Sometimes you have to add a little bit more solder then wick it off.

I have a hot air gun for shrink wrap, not sure that will work

Hot air gun will not work.
