Marty in da house!
#1
Hello folks,

My name is Martin, I'm from Czech Republic, and I'm totally new to FPV drones. I happened to be visiting Esy (whom I know for a couple of years and who recommended me this forum) around the Christmas though and the whole idea of building and soldering one's own model and then flying around with it - seeing the world from bird's perspective; seemed to be quite appealing. It didn't take much thinking and convincing afterwards for me to start being interested in this...

I have a lot of reading ahead of me but I hope that once I dig into some information sources a bit I'll be able to bring up an idea of my first build for some fine tuning and comments in here, and eventually in future also become an actual contributor to other members of this forum. So far I have my Taranis Q X7 and I'm downloading liftoff to start practicing on simulator (boy it was quite rough when I tried it at Esy's place) until I assemble the real thing.

Other than that I work in software development field, have been passionate gamer ever since I was a kid, and I enjoy cooking! (and eating :P)

Well, that's it for the introduction I guess, so have a great weekend!

MR

Welcome Marty, you have made a great choice of TX! Esy is really developing quickly and I'm sure he will be a great source of help and inspiration for you in the months to come. Great to see a new guy introducing more new members to the forum, Well done Esy! Marty I hope you enjoy communicating with the great people on this fantastic forum as much as I do, good luck with LiftOff and the steep learning curve (cliff) you are about to start climbing!

Welcome to the best FPV forum ever, Martin! There is great help for ironing out the fun things that come with the steep initial learning curve, but it is well worth the effort!

Thank you guys for all your welcome messages. I finally managed to get to post my first build thread, hopefully didn't get it all wrong to begin with, but we'll see! :-)
