Lumenier 4Power Quick Swap PDB
#1
[Image: ZwKMqgJl.jpg]
The Quick Swap PDB enables solder-less arm connections with ESC power being routed into specially designed power taps and the ESC Servo connection being made available on the side underneath the power connection.

Dimensions: L36 x W50 x H8mm (mounting holes at 30.5mm)
Weight: 13g
Material: 2mm PCB, 2oz copper with ENIG plating for high current

Benefit - no soldering

I think the idea is to give you the ability to swap out the entire arm, esc and motor without any soldering needed, which can be very valuable at the races.
You can use either bullets or just bare wires on the motor too,

depending on your setup, this is actually made to go underneath the FC.

Weight Concern

I saw the design for this months ago, I thought it was going to be very heavy but turns out to be only 13 grams, but still that's regarded as heavy for most racers hehe.

It is a trade off yes, however adding ~8 grams to your total weight is negligible. That is about 1.5% of AUW for most people. To gain the ability to quick swap an entire arm, esc and motor without soldering could be worth it to me.

Connection to FC

To connect the FC to the power distribution board, simply use small wires to create a bridge connection from the PDB to your FC (ground/signal). This connection will be soldered, where as your ESC can be simply removed and replaced by pulling it off the pin headers. No soldering required during the swap.

I would thought pin headers are easier, but many times pin headers on the FC are inaccessible on the quad without tools, or having to remove the top plate. This pdb moves them to the side where you can easily remove them along with an arm. Alternatively the headers aren't pre installed, so if you don't want to use them then simply don't install them.

Improvement

What I really want to see is integrating an F3 FC on it too along with the BEC.

I feel like this quick swap board is not meant to be all things to all people.

If you think bullets work better, by all means, use bullets. If your ESC connections are easily pulled out of the FC, don't solder in or use the right angles servo/ESC pass through connections that bring the servo leads to the side of the frame so you can easily pull them out without having to take a frame plate off to gain access. We want to provide options with our products. Reading through the comments on the internet, it's clear that some people really see the value and design intent of what the Quick Swap board provides and others don't. That's absolutely fine.

To me, this board makes life easy when trying to service an airframe quickly and does so elegantly.

I kind of like the look of this board, but obviously there is indeed some soldering, just not the ESC's.

MacFly90, You must be deriving the "comments" you mention from some other thread as I don't see any here but yours....and now mine :>)
