Loving my 5 inch again!
#1
I have had to use my backup FC for a while now, the XMPF3E by FrSky. It came with my Q X7 when I purchased it. It did come in handy, but other than keeping me airborne, it was difficult to solder and build on and uses an MPU9250 gyro as well.  Dodgy Even after soft-mounting everything and toning down the PIDs I still wasn't able to get all the twitches out.

After doing some quad repairs for a friend, we got to planning his first 5 inch. I was excitedly talking to him about using the JB F4 and how I wanted one for my NOX5R build when he offered to buy me one for the spare camera/vtx and repairs we just made to his Lizard95. Needless to say I was thrilled! Even more so when it showed up last week! Heart Wink

Anyways, the LOS maiden in the side yard was a vast improvement. So I packed up and headed to the park. Hope you all enjoy the flight as much as I did.  Big Grin Stock PIDs, my rates.

After some PID tweaking the propwash is pretty much gone. I really enjoy this FC!

Thank you both!

Ive been trying to work on smoothness and flow for my freestyling. Been practicing a new trick here and there too but mostly trying to polish up the basics Wink

I have been curious to see what the filters feel like for Butterflight. If I could keep more than one quad in the air I might try playing around with it lol

Thanks Jake! I love the editing almost as much as flying. Can't wait until I get some real equipment to do so, better PC and HD footage. Tongue

I agree 100% with that. Editing these videos is great, especially when it’s too dark or rainy to fly!
Unfortunately I’ve been working all day lately and haven’t had time to fly. The one day I did it was just too rainy Sad
Gotta get an indoor mini whoop
