Losing FPV signal when doing fast manouvres
#16
It does. And you're too late, I just ordered the 470uf. It's quite a bit package, 7.3mm x 4.3mm. Easy soldering!

Just to post an intermediary update: I got the parts, haven't done any work on the OSD yet. In the weekend I preferred to just to flying Smile I did however also get the low ESR caps and replaced the 1000uF normal cap with the low ESR one. Even without the OSD issue I was having, I had always had horizontal noise banding across the video feed and wondered if the low ESR cap would fix that. Not so, unfortunately. The saga continues. I have some time this week to re-start working on the OSD. Will first test is without the suggested tantalum cap just to see if the low ESR cap will have an impact on the OSD.
Speaking of the impact of low ESR vs regular caps, I found this video very enlightening:
The guy shows various power filtering approaches on a controlled noise-inducing motor+esc setup (LittleBees!) on an oscilloscope. Low ESR cap vs normal cap is a tremendous difference!
