1 24-Oct-2016, 08:20 PM Hi guys, can you help me? Sometimes while doing a roll, I lose control of my quad, it just keeps spinning. It disarms mid-air. I don't know if it disarms itself or I do it because when I realize what is happening I immediately pull the disarm switch.

1 You are absolutely right my friend! I have a GepRC zx5 and its PDB, xsr, SPRF3, Racerstar 30A ESCs Emax 2204 2300 KV, DAL 5045 triblade props, hs1177, tbs unify and a taranis.
4S 1300 75C Tattu battery
I am running Betaflight 3.0 with stock everything.
Unfortunately I have no video. It happens around halfway through the roll

2 Every single time?
Does it happen on flips too?
My initial thought would be a loose wire that only messes up when upside down. I had an issue where doing backflips caused my battery cable to come loose and restart the quad (didn't occur on rolls or front flips).

1 It happens in 1/3 of the rolls. I didn't try flips, I have just started doing tricks and I only do rolls right now. Thanks, I will see what happens

45 Sounds like what they refer to as death roll or yaw of death, common with BLHeli EScs desyncing. You can try setting your demag to high, but first just try upping your min throttle. That usually fixes it.

45 I PM'd a buddy who knows a LOT more than me to make sure that I covered all the bases and he told me something else. Guys were having the same issue as you and what was happening was when they finished a build and motor nneded to be reversed, they were changing motor direction in BLHeli. When they set all the motors to normal direction in BLHeli then swapped wires on the ESCs, the problem was fixed. Don't know if this applies to you, but thought I'd just let you know.

34 25-Oct-2016, 12:23 PM (This post was last modified: 25-Oct-2016, 12:25 PM by oyvinla.) Try to do a Blackbox log. Then you will see what motor/esc is causing the problem it that is your problem.
I also don't think that the racerstar escs has the reverse motor desync problem like the dys escs if I remember correctly

1 I will try. What happens when the flash memory fills up? Does it start deleting the oldest data?

15 dumb question from other angle... could it be possible that you are losing range on the rx and failsafe kicks in ?
All the best
