Loose motor bell/shaft
#1
Hi. I crashed today and one of my motors (xing 2207) had some mud stuck in the top of the bell. It was hard to remove it, so I took the bell off and washed it under tap water.
After assembling the motor back together I noticed it made some noise when spinning. Also, the shaft wiggles when I try to move it with my fingers, but it only wiggles a tiny bit, I can't even really see it but I feel it with my fingers. All of the other motors are fine and don't do that.

I did not try to spin the motor after the crash and before disassembling it, so maybe this happened because of the impact of the crash. But the crash was not really violent, and it is one of the back motors.

Do I have to replace the bearing or could it be something else?

It’s possible you slightly bent your shaft.
Dangerous operations.

Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.

I don't think that is the problem. It would not make the noise when I spin it with my fingers. By wiggling I meant that I can move the bell with the shaft slightly, relative to the stator, when the motor is stationary.

Some motors have a small washer under the motor bolt - If it dropped out unnoticed it would cause the bell to feel 'loose'

2207 motors usually have bearings which can be damaged during a crash and cause excessive wobble, so that that.

A bent motor shaft will have runout that is best measured using a dial indicator and can be hard to notice visually.

So play in the motor within tolerance is required to let the shaft rotate and again without a dial indicator it may be hard to be precise about tge difference between various motors.
