Hi guys!
I'm looking for a micro Frsky receiver and I would like to know if D8 mode with SBUS output will work with DJT module. Any D8 receiver works with DJT regardless of output protocol?

Can I use XM or XM+?

You can't use XM or XM+, They're not for DJT, only D16 on them.

D4R-II can be flashed to OpenSky to get SBUS if you have what it takes.
Also there are lots of 3rd-party receivers which work with D8.

Banggood sell a tiny FrSky D8 compatible receiver which has voltage and RSSI telemetry. It talks SBUS or PPM and if you connect battery voltage to the A2 input, you'll have battery voltage telemetry as well. I've easily had over 200m range with this little receiver. Holy thread resurrection!

De-pinned XR4-SB / de-pinned XSR and de-pinned R-XSR size comparison (30awg silicone wires attached):
