14-Dec-2016, 01:09 PM I'm looking for a good set of props for my qav-R 5inch arm. Any recommendations???? 14-Dec-2016, 01:58 PM Dal cyclone 5045 is my new favourite prop! 14-Dec-2016, 02:51 PM for regular flying KK5040 either bi or triblade for "having fun" RaceKraft5051 All the best Grzesiek (Grisha/ Greg) Curently flyable: Nox 5, Minimalist 112 Bench / in progres: fixing Nox 3, Scrap thinking about building: 450 14-Dec-2016, 03:06 PM I saw Banggood just released a Racerstar prop (Racekraft clone?). For the price, it is worth trying IMO. http://www.banggood.com/10-Pairs-Racerst...mds=search 14-Dec-2016, 04:31 PM I presume those 5042 are OEMs, I've seen them branded by kk, DAL and racekraft, they all start to appear just now so... Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car 14-Dec-2016, 08:17 PM Shawn, here is my experience with various props: Also, by "acro flight" I mean "acrobatic flight and turns and rolls" Gemfan tri-blade or dual-blade: just don't HQ Prop tri-blade 5x4x3: Amazing for crisp responsive acrobatic flying. Horrible for crashing and mediocre for speed. DALProp tri-blade 5045: Stupendous for crashing. Pretty good speed and middle of the road acro flight. DALProp tri-blade 5040: Better acro flight than the 5045, but slightly less durable. Not as good as the HQ prop for acro (but nothing is). RaceKraft tri-blade 5051: Lightning speed. Like wow. Slightly "mushy" in acro flight. Surprisingly durable (up there with DAL for me). DALProp dual-blade 5045 bull-nose: Pretty quick. Very durable. Mediocre acro flight. My goto is the DAL tri-blade 5040 for acro flight, 5045 for racing. If I could afford it I'd got for HQ props...but they break so easily. I've had a landing-bounce turn into 4 broken props multiple times. 14-Dec-2016, 10:17 PM (14-Dec-2016, 08:17 PM)jamesw Wrote: Gemfan tri-blade or dual-blade: just don't One exception: Gemfan 5045BN (HBN), those props may be not as durable as DAL for example, because they don't bend at all, just crack instead on very hard hits, but they are really very very efficient while being powerful. My prop to go: 5040kk biblade. Seriously. I would even exclusively fly gemfan 5040 bi- and triblades if they weren't so delicate. And I do like to fly fast Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car 15-Dec-2016, 08:37 PM The KingKong props are one prop I haven't tried that I've heard good things about. I need to get some to try. 16-Dec-2016, 01:00 AM Jamesw, try kk get a pack, i've stolen few props from Konrad as he likes them a lot... and they performed suprisignly well only thing that i miss in 5040 biblades KK is the punch (in a not cool situation when you just want to jump up those 30-40 meters) All the best Grzesiek (Grisha/ Greg) Curently flyable: Nox 5, Minimalist 112 Bench / in progres: fixing Nox 3, Scrap thinking about building: 450 |
