Lisam LS210 vs QAV210
#1
Is there any difference between the Lisam LS210 and the QAV210? Will the top plate from a QAV fit a Lisam?

LS210 is so much cheaper... a lot of people got the LS210 are giving good feedback as well.
but I am a bit concerned with the big hole on the bottom plate, feels like it could snap in a crash.

The QAV 210 is a great quad, only let down (in my view) by the rear part of the top plate, the part with the antenna hole and power cable hole. It overhangs too much and snaps off in a hard rear end crash, have broken 2 top plates there on mine. I have now glued 2 top plates together and it holds up very well.

I cannot say anything about the LS 210, But I do have an LS 130 and think it is one heck of a quad for it's size.

I have the LS210 and its a great frame! The middle hole is much smaller now than what it was, so it shouldn't be a problem anymore. I am planning a modified build where the top plate section is lowered behind the 2nd standoff, and therefore I need to buy an extra top plate. The I-gain needs to be tuned quite high due to high COG in order to keep level when dropping the throttle during forward flight. So by dropping the frame, the battery will lower the COG, and I would probably be able to fly with a lower I-gain.

I can only find the spare top plate for the QAV on Ebay:

I can see that it's not exactly the same, but very similar. As long as the mounting holes line up, it should be okay.

Crazypony 210 and 180 are exactly the same as the QAV. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B016ZZN6I...UTF8&psc=1

Do you have the QAV210? if so, maybe you could take some measurements for me? I need the distance between the standoffs lengthwise and width

I was a bit worried about the gap in the bottom plate too. I ended up ordering this KingKong 210 frame. I've been happy with KingKong products in the past and it looks well built, hopefully it holds up.

Thank you Trollhammered! Now I can measure the lisam and see if it is the same

The Lisam LS210 is:
29mm width, 42mm between front and middle, 86mm between middle and back

This is as close as it can get, so from this, it looks like the parts that fit the QAV210 will fit the Lisam LS210

I am pretty happy with this, it has withstood a full throttle plunge into tall grass without any problems (: Extra props are a sweet deal as well.

I have the lisam and the qav, and the top plate from the qav doesn't fit the lisam I have. If you're willing to take a drill and file you could mod it to fit. A tip to supporting the qav top plate and indeed the lisam is to have a couple of nylon standoffs cut down and mounted atop the rear of the fc supporting the top plate, I've also broken both top plates rendering the lisam useless as I can't find spares

I finally killed my QAV 210 baseplate; it took a number of "heavy landings" as the glideslope of QAV210 isn't great! I cracked an arm and thought I would try the 4mm LS210 baseplate; just lining them up to see if I'd need to change the top plate as well revealed the difference is tiny, less than half a millimetre, so I will probably see if I can get away with it rather than strip the top plate as well, particularly as top plate is another half mm thicker
