LiPo battery disposal

Apparently Home Depot and Lowes will take in your LiPos for disposal.  Not all stores do this, but the below article has a link to the stores that do.  Just another option if you have one of those stores near you.

None of the ones near me accept Lithium Polymer batteries . (Lithium ion, yes - but I could not find any within 50 miles that accept Lipos).

If you click the little "i" info tab you'll see a list of the types. These are all considered "dry cell" rechargeable. Be sure and check before you haul all of your Lipos down to Home Depot...

Yeah, I just went to our local HD and they just started taking LiPos in August.  So a phone call might be better than using the drop down on the link

I usually charge them all the way up and then short them out in the street for the neighbors entertainment.  There is usually nothing left to dispose of after about 10 minutes of burning... Wink
