Light weight RC fixed wings
#1
Hi everybody, can you suggest a good fixed wing that is below 300 grams?

I want it mainly for fun, so doesn't have to be super fast or long flight time.

I fly Flying wings hornet, mine is about 250g.
It's worth noting these are designed as stable fast racers, not Ariel/long distance setups. But You can't put a HD camera on them very easily.

Other options are something like the flitest mini arrow, but this is actual foam and not foam board.

Not even a mobius cam?

Depends. These are designed to be 250g. My build needs 50g weight on the nose to make the COG so I can get away with it. But it massively affects handling and speed.

I am sure you can put a light weight HD camera on light weight fixed wings, it's just a bit of a hassle to balance them. If you really want to capture good fixed wing footage, to be on the safer side lokk into the 35"+ Ballpark, more lift = longer flight time and more payload.

I made a 40" wing, that i can take apart in the middle, and it flys nicly with a 2200 and a Xiaomi Yi
