Hong Kong?

Hongkong is where the TBS office is.

I did not want to share my location not that it matters: I am in Malaysia today, Sunday will be in Singapore and Monday finally in Australia Smile 4 week ago I was in Qatar. Come track me Smile

By the time I get home I will have been through 8 PCR tests and almost 2 weeks quarantine here and there in 2 months. I am so done traveling with Covid around.

Ar yes, TBS is in Hong Kong.
My god, you must have been spending more time in quarantine than not.

I set it up last night and was messing with it some flying my Cat2 equipped Explorer. Pretty neat, will be testing it some more with The Drifter this afternoon.

Its a cool feature to have especially since we now have the Nano RX Pro with longer telemetry range.

I was thinking that. Yet to get one of those Pro RX's, but for flying around the yard and such the standard ones provide some decent range back to my tablet! It is really cool Smile

Obviously I cannot watch the screen to see what the telemetry is during flight, but my spotter (Heather) can see where I am while watching the tablet.

While this is a great new feature I feel it is mainly useful for long range pilots with a ground station setup who can stick their aircraft into autonomous mode then take their goggles off and look at the telemetry screen to see where their aircraft is.

If you don't care about real-time mapping you can get a similar results (after the flight) by using telemetry data that has logged on your transmitter or using the GPS data written to the blackbox log which you can export to a GPX file and then import into something like Goggle Earth. I tried it once but all I ended up with was a route that just continually went in circles and criss-crossed over each other in a small close-proximity flying area. It was interesting to try, but seeing the freestyle route I took on a aerial view of a map was a little underwhelming and not particularly exiting. It would probably work better for someone who was doing an exploration flight and not crazy turns and flippy floppies within a 300-500m area.

I wrote a little online tool in pure javascript (no upload required) to import the transmitter log file and display and convert the gps data: https://pixelkrams.de/otxviewer/#example.csv

The latest update to the CSFR Nano, this app...both are catering to LR pilots. Neither mean a thing to someone who is flying in a 2 acre park. I truly appreciate their efforts to be honest as there are times I fall into the LR category. I have been considering holding onto my Crossfire for the ranged stuff and then ELRS for my activities where repairs are often necessary.
