Latest Build
#1
Greetings all...

Just finished my latest build.  I still have some set up and tuning to do, but it's together.  I am not posting a build log because there are no shortage of build longs on this machine and my methods and procedures are probably similar to most.  I'll just post a few pics of the completed bird.  However, if anyone has a question about how or why I did something, I did take plenty of pics during the build which I will be happy to share if needed. Thumbs Up

Very, very nice Chris!! Thumbs Up

Is that a custom plate above the FC (with buzzer cutout)? I'd love to see close-ups of that! Can't wait to hear how it flies!

Thanks Scotty, appreciate it!  I wanted to have a "full size" buzzer for the extra volume (Im usually searching tall grass or dense bushes and trees when they get  away from me).  The full size buzzer would have made the stack too tall to fit within the plates.  Rotorgeeks sells what they call an insulating blank that is pre drilled for a standard size stack with 30.5mm mounting holes.   I took a dremel and cut the hole out for the buzzer and two more for a zip tie to strap the RX down with.  Made the stack short enough to fit and allowed me not to strap anything to the top plate. Smile  Probably wont get  it in the  air  this  weekend, lots going on around here this weekend, but when I do I'll report back.

Sweet ride! Love the colors. You gave me a great idea for the buzzer. Where'd you get that buzzer from?

Thanks!!  To be honest I don't remember.  I've had it for a while.  One of the shops had them on sale , 5 at  time so I bought 5.  Not sure  if this is where I got em, but you can get them here: http://www.readymaderc.com/store/index.p...&x=24&y=11

Good luck! Smile

Wow, thats a very clean and nicely made first build.
Have some great fun flying it!

Try and get some protection for that pagoda antenna, the pigtail will prevent your VTX from getting damaged but those disks will get wrecked quite quickly.

Thank you (It's actually my fourth) Smile   The way I've got the ant. mounted it will be below the top of the battery and it's above the bottom plate.  You're right, it would be better with a protector, but I have it mounted this way on a couple of my other builds....surprising how well it tends to hold up.

Ah, no idea why I though it was your first Tongue
Good to hear it's not a fragile as I've experienced, but got to admit, mine always sat on top which is clearly a bad place.
