Larva X screws
#1
Hi folks,

My Happymodel Larva X HD arrived in the post yesterday and it's being very fun to fly! First time with something other than a Eachine Trashcan and you can really tell the difference in power.

So this quad can be set up in either toothpick or whoop so, for peace of mind, I decided to put the propeller guards on. As a result, I've run out of screws :-D. The quad came without propeller guards on and the motors were fixed to the frame using what looks like M2x5mm screws. If you add the guards you need to use the larger screws that came with quad, M2x7mm. The problem is that there's only 12 of those, so I've been running 3 on each motor (with threadlocker, checking them after each flight, etc.). Now the thing is that I would like to try different propellers and I've got some HQProp 2.5x2.5x3 that need to be screwed onto the motors (in contrast with the stock bi-blades that are just pushed-in). I've never fitted screw-in propellers to a quad before and I'm wondering how to find out what screw size they need?

Also, I'm thinking I should get some assorted screws so that I'm not caught out again. I've got an assorted box of M1 M1.2 M1.4 M1.6 for the Trashcan, and I probably need M2s for the Larva. Does anybody have any advice on what to get? Don't wanna end up with a big bag of assorted screws that are not used much in the quad industry.

Many thanks!

Thanks Snow for sharing your knowledge, I will get some of those.

Concerning the propeller screws, is there anything to be taken into account or just using any bolt that fits the motors correctly is fine?

Any M2 screws of the correct length are fine (assuming they are M2 - most of the toothpick size motors are).
