KK2 1,5: Basic help needed
#1
Hi friends, my name is Mats. I m trying to get started in the multirotor-world.
I have built aeroplanes al my life and i m basically a "carpenter-person" who likes to chape wood.
This part of the hobby with weires, programing etc is new to me but i will give it a go. Please bear with me :-)
I have a tricopter bought secondhand. I bought a new kk2 1,5 from Hobbyking to get it in the air.
The instruction is not that good for this card...
I have got to the part about calibrating the ESCConfused but i get confused??
I press left and right button on the programing-device (I asume that this is what they mena since there is no buttons on the KK2-card). I power up and the motor start to beep..Display says "Throtel pas through"...And nothing more happens.
Instruction say "Power up and wait for ESC to beep its "full throttle calibrated signal"..What is that signal like??
It keeps beeping but nothing changes. Should it not show a mesage on the display that ESC i calibrated??

Please help a noob here... Cry
If anyone know a good tutorial on how to set this card up for a Tri i would be glad.
I have googled around but can only find really old posts that feels a bit outdated.

Unfortunately I think you are probably going to struggle on this particular forum with help for the KK2.1 flight controller. Most of the members on here weren't even part of the the hobby when that FC appeared on the market back around 2013.

I don't personally have any experience with the KK2.1 flight controller but looking at some resources on the internet, I assume that you have a receiver connected to the FC with the receiver bound to your transmitter (?)

EDIT: It goes without saying, but make sure you have the props REMOVED when you are performing the ESC calibration procedure.

It might be worth having a watch of the following video at time position 2:27 which is where it demonstrates calibrating the ESCs...

There is also another demonstration of ESC calibration using a KK2.1 FC in the following video at time position 7:30...
