king Kong tiny 7
#1
newbie to FPV.
I have a KINGKONG/LDARC TINY7 75mm Micro FPV Quadcopter With 720 Brushed Motors Baced on F3 Brush Flight Controller. recently one my motors died. just to be sure it was the motor I swapped it with one of the other motors and it worked "bad motor". ok. so I ordered a new motors from Ebay "2PCS Kingkong 720 Brushed Motor Brush CW CCW for Tiny7 Racing Quadcopter " same color wires, same connectors made it very easy to replace. this comes with beta flight 3.0.1. I replaced the bad motor and now there's no lift. I thought this was a simple replacement did I miss something? also I did order two sets of motors so yes I did swap new motors also just in case. I can't find any info on this problem. is it possible there is a calibration I need to do in beta flight?

Just to confirm, have the props been added in the correct CW/CCW configuration, and the motors themselves have been connected to the correct ports for CW and CCW rotation?

I bought replacement 0720 motors from MyRCMart.com ($3 for a pair) and they work fine on my Tiny7.

I hope it is something simple..?

There shouldn't' be any calibration or configuration required to get those new brushed motor going.

Yes brushed motors have different rotations, make sure you are using the correct rotation to achieve maximum performance.
Also note that motors are rated for different KV, basically higher KV motors are faster.
One possibility can be the motors you bought might have lower KV than the stock motors, maybe that's why you observed the lack of thrust during flight
It's hard to know what KV those motors when you are buying from EBay...
