This is why I created this post I don't know what is good or bad. If you guys can get a frame or a kit to start with then I'll run from there. Kinda like the bflight 210 above I searched it but could not really find anyone selling anything.

No, but they ship to the US.  And gearbest has a decent reputation.

If you are expecting to get everything for your quad from US sources, that could severely limit your choices.

Use Google a bit more, and good luck with your purchases.

What Battery would you get with this?  Also If I got the FrSky Taranis X9D what option would you choose?  It looks like there are three there not sure what they all mean.

Tattu R-Line (75C - 150C discharge rate) batteries are possibly the best batteries money can buy, but they are priced accordingly, at about $40 each. I am still waiting for some concrete comparison info from Carl.Vegas about the 'Black Label' batteries that are sold by Ke at Indestructible Quads, on paper they sound like a great option for something cheaper (about $20 - $25 each) and still give your quad plenty of 'bang' for quite a few fewer bucks! BTW Indestructible Quads are based in NY, if he is out of stock, he posts the tracking number of his bulk orders on RCGroups so keeps everyone in the loop of how long its going to take to restock.

On the transmitter side, there seems to be quite a lot of people who are very happy with the Taranis QX7 (the cheaper FrSky option) but if you want one or 2 more bells and whistles the Taranis X9D Plus is the 'industry standard' for racers and acrobatic pilots. The QX7 has just recently been listed on BG with upgraded 'Hall Effect' gimbals already fitted, Hall effect gimbals are kind of like the 'brushless motors' of transmitters - more accurate and minimal wear and tear from normal use. You can buy the QX7 for $105 and add the hall effect gimbals yourself later, and save around $50, $105 for the QX7 normal version $199 for the one with upgraded gimbals, the gimbals themselves are $50 for a pair. Personally I am using a $40 clone of the FlySky i6X which I am quite happy with, I don't know what most of the bells and whistles of the Taranis range do, so I don't miss them much, a timer on my TX would be helpful though!

There are loads of build vids on youtube, there are also loads of build threads on the forum too, much of what you learn from vids are transferable between builds, but you will need to find specific compatibility info for your RX and FC to work together, though these days 'most' are pretty interchangeable.

As you have already seen, there is a wealth of knowledge here on the forum from guys who are more than happy to help, we are a very active community too, so any specific problems you encounter just ask, it shouldn't take long for a response.

Hi elliep and welcome, I am new myself and have been going through exactly what you are going through just a few weeks ago.

First off, this forum is full of kind, experienced and helpful people - so good job on finding it! Along with Oscar's website, it's a great resource.

Joshua Bardwell is a great source of info on all sorts of relevant subjects. He does a good job of explaining things in a thoughtful and straightforward manner:
https://www.youtube.com/user/loraan

Mini Quad Test Bench has a lot motor and ESC tests, helpful for figuring out what components you might want to get:
http://www.miniquadtestbench.com/

Drone Mesh does some cool electrical noise testing of motors, ESCs and other components on an oscilloscope, also helpful for figuring out what components you might want to get:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3c9WhU...qZNSqAGQXg

RotorBuilds is helpful for seeing what other people are building, and developing familiarity with "popular" components:
https://rotorbuilds.com/

For entertainment but also some great info on PIDs and similar tuning subjects:
Le Drib: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHxiKnz...ez8ZGpQbPQ
Mr Steele: https://www.youtube.com/user/MrSteeledavis

I'm sure there are many more resources, these are just some of the ones I've returned to over and over again in the past few weeks to help me get up to speed.

My parts are in the mail and my build will begin soon Smile

I actually found a build on YouTube I'm going to base off of. Once I get the parts list will most likely open a new thread to see if everything will work together and questions on the build. Also I have a charger at home for my buggy but it only charges 2 cells not 3. Anyone have any opinions on what charger to get for 2 to 4 cell batteries also the correct leads for charging the battery.
