Guys I'm quite unlucky with these new FCs... To the fact in this case it wasn't the FC maybe it was just my mistake. But I feel pretty unlucky with this build.
Today I successfully changed the previous F3 FC to the new Bardwell F4 but some months ago I also bought new ESCs (Racerstar Tattoo+ 42A) so I decided to to change the ESCs as well. There were no issues with new parts during the build and everything went well. The quick bench tests were also OK. Then I did a short hovering in my flat which was also OK. After it I put on my goggles because I wanted to test the video quality with running motors. The copter was still on the rug where I did the hovering. So I armed it again with Airmode. I played a bit with the throttle without the copter taking off when I see lot of smoke in the camera. I disarmed the copter and took my goggles off when I noticed motor #4 is smoking and burnt down. I was really afraid because my first thoughts were around the battery... "Fortunately" it was just a motor. But honestly I don't know what was the reason of it... Maybe the motor caught a small piece from the rug which overloaded it but I really don't know because I was wearing the googles when it happened. The incident did take no longer than 5 sec. The motors have been in use for months without any issue. The ESC #4 still looks perfect but I'm going to change it as well as I don't trust it in any more.
