I am thinking I want to get a wire stripper, but a couple of questions, please. First, what is the smallest wire it will strip, using AWG gauge. Why would it be illegal to sell this tool to a person who under the age of 18? What other tools are restricted by age?

Well I have just tried it on AWG24 and it works fine.  The description on amazon states AWG24 - AWG10 for the Jokari Super 4, they make a range of these, so make sure you buy


the right one. I find it is a pleasure to use, so simple, no more messing around making sure you have selected the correct gauge on the plier type.
I guess it is viewed as a bladed article by amazon because it is a cutter.     I am sure other sellers would sell it to anybody, it would make a poor weapon.
