BEtaflight 4.4, completely new walk-snail system AND vrx, Hd-zero goggles, 1s digital VTXs.. all within less than a year.. kinda. Still, I got my email about my WS vrx being shipped, and thought “when was R.R. Rampage?” It was mid MAY 2022, less than a year ago..and look at the “electronic” advancements” that have been made .. (EFF remote ID-I’m going sub250 and non 107).. anyway.. the advancements in fpv still progressed with Al the covid restrictions.. still pretty cool in my book..
Now, if we can get the prices of a “stack” below $100

Whatever the reason, the progress has been incredible. Let's hope that it continues.

Technological progress is great but it can also come at a price in that us as consumers end up haemorrhaging money even faster than we previously did as stuff we bought maybe just one year ago becomes obsolete already with newer technology / hardware superseding it, so it can make it a difficult choice when deciding what gear to invest in. Just look at all the digital FPV systems and transmitters now currently on the market. Competition is great but sometimes too much choice can make it almost impossible to know if you are investing your money wisely on a particular system or if you should just hang back and wait fo maybe the next generation to appear. Of course, if you are lucky enough to have more money than you know what to do with then none of that is a concern and you can just buy every new bit of gear that comes along.

You can get several stacks for under $100. If you are specifically talking about an F7 stack, I think Speedybee do a Mini F7 35A Stack (just looked up and yes and $97), HGLRC do a 45A F7 for $96 and there are many more. All those were from GetFPV.

I'm looking forward to the Walksnail system. I have my eye on the FS Recon HD goggles. They are affordable and achievable. Have upgrade paths too and I can probably get a set of glasses inside the viewing area.

My WS vrx has just arrived stateside.. I’m sure it will now sit in customs for a couple weeks..
I finished my Glide 5” with the HDzero 1w .. did a maiden..ONLY 1 4s pack.. hoping the weather clears so I can do some damage
I have done some “internet shopping” and located some components VERY reasonable..as for how reliable they are.. who knows. But that can be said about pretty much all the electronics out there now
