Issue setting up Runcam Swift 2 osd control
#1
Hi there!

I'm trying to setup camera control for my Runcam Swift 2 (FC is SPRacing F3). I'm stuck on the measuring of the reference voltage. Somehow the measured voltage between the OSD and Ground pins on my Runcam Swift 2 is 0.6V. Betaflight expects a value between 2/4V so 0.6V seems wrong.

Granted, I don't really have a proper way to measure the ref voltage. I don't have a multimeter at the moment so I'm using my FC "vbat" pin to measure the voltage... it's quite hacky but I guess it should give me an accurate measure...!

Have you ever heard of a low reference voltage on the OSD pin? Any idea how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks!!

you can check out a list of compatible camera and FC with the settings.

here is one for the Spracing F3. although it is for the Eagle, Runcam cameras uses the same settings.

And do yourself a favor, get yourself a $20 DMM.

Thanks for the answer! Yes I already looked through those and both the camera and FC are supposed to support camera control, so I suspect something wrong in my setup.

Haha I already ordered a multimeter but you know, these things take weeks to arrive so meanwhile I have to improvise  Rolleyes

If you want, we can look through your issue. But I can tell you that camera control is very buggy.

I guess I'll just wait until I have a proper way to measure the reference voltage, I tried again different setups today and in all cases I was just measuring 0.6V, which doesn't seem to make any sense!

Thanks!
