139 Sorry if this has been asked before, but has anyone tried the GTA FPV mod and would you recommend it?
I don't really play GTA so I would be buying the game purely for FPV.

24 I looked at the host site (GTA5-mods.com) it doesn't look as if there have been any race tracks created for the mod, not sure if the mod is capable of triggering checkpoints or even if it can run alongside a mod that would allow you to create your own track for multiplayer. I guess that there are still other bugs that might need to be worked out before work on compatibility can start.
The video's do look amazing and it's doubtful that there will ever be a dedicated sim with such a beautiful backdrop, with the sheer scope of flying locations.
From my experience with applying mods to GTA IV, these modders are an exceptionally talented bunch, but sometimes great projects start, but get left unfinished, looks like that was the case with this mod, it was 1st launched early in the year, and then was finished by LeFix. Personally if my PC was up to running GTA 5 (I would have it already, but if I didn't) I would get it regardless of whether it gets updated to allow for online racing, just to be able to go fly in a city, desert, river or seaside that is as detailed and animated as a GTA game. I have load of beaches near me, but I am scared of flying by so much sand and water!
Do it man! From the comments it isn't perfected yet, but I'm sure that feedback from someone of your experience would be invaluable! I'm sure the community here would love to hear your thoughts, I'd love to watch some more vids of this mod too.
I love the bit of the vid where they guy flies under the truck on the freeway, eat your heart out Tommy!

30 So far i only read some comments on youtube pages which indicate that you can play this offline only, because the added files would trigger a cheat protection that would ban you from online play - so pretty sure there won't be multiplayer racing.
But there's so many locations that would be cool for freestyle, if i was to try a sim, this would be the one. Also from what i hear the game is pretty cheap to get, friend told me he checked his old steam account and it looked like he could get the game for something like 12$.

One of the great draws for GTA on PC is the ability to mod it. The fact that that the game is mod-able at all, you'd have thought that they would have multi-player 'modded game' server. At least that's the way
true RockStar's roll!
