Is Ground necessary for VBAT?
#1
I am using VBAT pin on MinimOSD, and I am wondering do I need to solder the ground (GND) as well?

No it's not necessary, because all your electronics share a common ground, i.e. your MinimOSD ground is basically the same ground as your LiPo.

Totally unnecessary, I'd even say undesirable. It creates an additional point of failure and allows easier short-circuiting of your battery.
