Inverting PWM Signal BlHeli_S
#46
So, you're able to update the BL_HELI software... Is there any reason that you didn't just change the pwm signal in the bl_heli suite to negative? Should just a be a toggle button. Did that not work?

That was what I originally planned to do but the new BlHeli_S ESCs and firmware do not support negative PWM signal.

Now the Top one is the original BlHeliSuite with all the options and the bottom one is the new BlHeli_S Suite in which they have removed many of the options such as the input polarity.

I'll add ability to invert PWM polarity into BetaFlight configurator in the next version.
BLHeli Suite has nothing to do with it, it's the change in firmware, suite just displays whatever settings are available in each version.
You should really be using BLHeli Configurator )

Here's the PR with changes, but it won't be merged right away. I also have to submit a PR to add a checkbox or dropdown list in configurator. Though it will be possible to just go into CLI and type:
Code:
set motor_pwm_polarity = negative

I am also doing a brushed FC to brushless conversion using an H8 board. I have this set up for my esc and motor,
http://www.banggood.com/Racerstar-Racing...ds=myorder
Following these instructions
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthre...H8-mini-FC
I found that when flashing my ESC's I did not have the options I was looking for like the "Enable PWM input" or "Input Polarity"
I had the same menu's as JonnoSA  on post #48
I guess these changes are nessasary to get the H8 to run the ESC's properly. Are these the changes being discussed as being ready for the new year?
is it possible to set up my ESC's with an older revision for now?
