Informations about the power board
#1
Hello ,

I'm planning to build my very first quadcopter soon , using the plastic beast frame (3d printed frame ) , and the Lumenier Lux flight controller . I'm planning to put a video transmitter too . I was wondering if I need to make a power board to power the video transmitter AND the flight controller or I need a smaller Lipo for the transmitter ?

Thanks ! Smile

depends on what your VTX's input voltage, some VTX can be powered directly from battery, but some requires voltage step down regulator.
Get a PDB that comes with LC filter and voltage regulator Smile it makes life a lot easier.

Thanks for the answer ! I'm making the DIY 5.8Ghz DIY VTX featured on your website , I think I will need the PDB . One more question , I am supposed to connect the battery to the PDB , then connect the flight controller and the VTX to the PDB ? ( Seems to me like a dumb question , but I need to be sure haha)

Normally yes. It all depends on what voltage is required, and where you can get that voltage from.
