inav shows negative pitch when nose is up
#1

Hi folks,

New to the forum as i'm looking for some advice on my first build.
I'm using inav and since calibrating my Matek H743 wing FC it shows a negative value in the pitch of the aircraft when the nose is up, and conversely a positive value when the nose is down.
I assumed the pitch value should be positive when the nose is up?

Is this correct? should i calibrate the FC again?
Ive attached a screenshot to show the issue.

Many thanks

Pete

It should not matter if it flies well. +ve or -ve values above or below relative to the horizontal plane can be used interchangeably depending on the developers choice.

Did you change the mounting orientation of the FC? Did you adjust board alignment?

I do not have an INAV build at the moment to test this so I am running off my thoughts here.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't changed the mounting orientation, ive put a +5 (but should this be a -5??) on the board alignment through the CLI.
I watched a video on YouTube and the guy had a similar negative value on his so i'm hoping its normal.
When i move the FC the render of the plane within inav moves in the direction it should so fingers crossed.
Thanks
