I have one, which I fly on GAONENG 130/260C 1800mAh 4S. I later bought the GEPRC Mk5 HD 6S (ELRS), which I fly on GAONENG 100/200C 1350mAh 6S.
They are both standard 5" with freestyle hardware as supplied. Apart from minor rates tweak no Betaflight changes to either. There's little difference on flight ready weight.
Flew both today, hence getting to this post which I have meant to do SO many times!
They are staggeringly chalk and cheese, night and day, etc, etc.
Flown with the same level speed and smooth freestyle actions, the Evoque struggles to get past 4 minutes on 1800mAh 4S. I'm forced to battery manage it to get past three. On 1500mAh it is 2.5 mins if flown with any aggression, 3 mins is max.
The same batteries on the lighter Hawk5 or Sports Hawk give around seven minutes max, but usually around 6 mins, even with more aggression.
The Mk5 sails past six minutes and usually tops out at between 7.5 and eight minutes on the 1350mAh 6S. Without any specific battery management. Put the 6S Mk5 on the 1800mAH 4S and while obviously the lower power is there, its really minimally evident, the quad just carries on regardless most impressively!
This duration penalty sees the Evoque little used, generally only, like this morning, when high dew levels and sopping wet grass mean its side protection is actually useful. BTW, its plethora of LEDs are useless in daylight, totally invisible.
The Evoque was sold with unmarked motors, so kV not known. Are they even 4S motors? It was bought at a time when components were extremely difficult to obtain, and there were 4S and 6s versions. Could it be that? If it is a 4S version, will its components handle 6S?
I have to do something to get more duration with less sag, or reluctantly I will need to sell it, but what to do to improve it? It wasn't cheap, and so far its been .
Thoughts?
