iFlight DC3 Motor Short
#1
Hey everyone, very new to FPV.. I messed up Poop and mounted my motors with too long of screws. Took off then lost control. I can see where the motor bindings are black in just one motor. Will I not get the full boot up sequence if I have a bad motor or is it a bad FC/ESC too? Dont really know how to check but willing to learn. Any input would be welcome. Thanks!

If you toasted all your motors, then there is no way for the ESC to generate the sounds. It is the vibration of the motor's bell that creates the tone. And if the esc is toast then there would be not tone. Remove the offending motor. See if you can individually spin the other 3 motors in the motor tab menu. If you can spin them, that means those remaining 3 motors and ESCs are working. Now put a good motor to test the last ESC. If that also spins, then you need to just replace the motor.

If you don't still get a tone, then there is something else is wrong.

So the FC won’t even show up in beta flight. So I am assuming that I blew up the FC? It’s a SucceX-A F4 AIO..

Have you tried different cable? Do you get any lights? What shows up in device manager?
