iFlight Beast H7 motors hot on 6S but not on 4S
#1
HI as the title says I'm having issues with my Iflight Beast H7 i built a 5" quad with this AIO on iFlight 2506 1850KV motors however when i'm running 6s It does this weird almost like misfiring sound where it sounds like its missing a beat every few seconds and the motors get super super hot where as on 4s it fly's perfect.

I think it has something to do with the blheli settings but whenever i've built qauds everything usually fly's fine out of the box i've never had this issue before.

add a bigger or a second capacitor as a try.

I have one 35v 470uf cap that came with the FC as well as a 50v 470uf cap I added as well as I thought the same thing that maybe that would help. Do you think adding a 3rd 35v 1000uf cap might help lol? Also when i try to use bidirectional Dshot im only getting the right side motors to spin when i use the motors tab in the betaflight GUI its either 2 & 1 or 4 & 3 that spin while the other side just shows 100% error. As soon as I turn off BiDirectional Dshot all 4 motors spin again no problem.

you can never have enough capacitors xD that should be enough, if you still own a 1000uf - 2000uf 50v, i would give it a try with that single one and remove the others.

that thing about 2spin out of four is regardless the voltage 4s or 6s?
sounds wired anyway Undecided

here is a nice troubleshoot tutorial

if you use the same tune for 4s and 6s, it could be just a too high d-term value. you could give it a try by decrease it. did you still go into pid tuning?

If only difference is the battery, then very likely it is too high PID, especially D. On 6S D25 may be necessary. On 4S, many run D40 OK. Low power 1S quads need like D90.
