Ideas to hang quads on backpack
#1
Hey guys. I had a spare backpack lying around and instead of buying a new one, I wanted to use this but there is one problem. There are no straps to hang the quad on the outside and I really want to do that. I'm really bad at sewing, I don't think I could sew some straps on. I was wondering is anyone knew a way to put bag to hold a couple of quads. Smile

depends on the amount of quads you want to carry and how you want to attach them,
so far i've tested:
- molle mounts (like military packs) + some clips to attach the quad - good as long as the clips don't damage the quad
- elastic bands to attach quads - good and flexible solution

i havent tested it in long walks it was more like a short carry distance (and i always struggle to "take only what is needed")

if you are going for one quad and this pack, i'd add 2/4 elastic bands across the big X ... if multiple quad... you need to be creative

two big rubber bands like Grisha0 proposed around the handle would probably work

it is not rubber band "per se" it is a rubberized string or smth like that, you can expand it put your quad in... let it go ant it will hold

Well I currently only have 1 quad and I'm not planning to get a new one for a while. So maybe just putting some thick rope around the handle at the top could work and then wrap it around the quad, If that makes sense.

You could sew some straps on that easy.  Sewing itself is easy, sewing good is the hard part, and It might not look good but neither will two rubber bands or a random piece of rope wrapped around your shoulder.  Tongue

Get yourself a needle and a spool of thread and practice some basic hand stitches.  This got me started really quick, ended up modding a backpack over and over again for Pokemon catching a few months back.  Focus on the back stitch to fold the straps into themselves and the catch stitch to fasten the straps to the backpack.
