Wow what a difference... Just with the PT1. Welcoime to IntoFPV hailenp! Also a great question, I hadn't considered it before but now am curious too. carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 Posts: 2,410 Threads: 136 Likes Received: 1,790 in 1,052 posts Likes Given: 3,302 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 50 Im curious about this now also Posts: 1,149 Threads: 50 Likes Received: 704 in 450 posts Likes Given: 1,189 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 30 14-Jul-2017, 05:29 PM (This post was last modified: 14-Jul-2017, 05:30 PM by fftunes.) In short: all hell can break loose yes the risk is real - stuff might run hot quickly if filter settings are on the edge and you happen to bend or break a prop mid-flight. The dterm filter settings depend on profile - you could make a second profile for example with a wider dterm notch and lower lowpass frequency (and maybe lower PID), so you could change profile quickly to continue. Yeah, as i'm not a racer, at that point i usually "fly home" or just land/drop it somewhere safe, like when vibrations are so bad it hardly stays in the air and hardly can see anything... last time this happened i was missing 1 blade on my 2-blade props lol But sadly you can't change profile by switch (yet), only by stick commands while disarmed. It was announced for betaflight 3.2 a while ago though. • Posts: 1,590 Threads: 89 Likes Received: 1,283 in 768 posts Likes Given: 1,274 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 31 you can't? I was under the impression by one of the guys I fly with that you can. I might have to figure out what he's been doing and I'll have a look this afternoon to see if I can figure it out. Perhaps they're using 3.2 or something, I don't know carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 • Posts: 1,149 Threads: 50 Likes Received: 704 in 450 posts Likes Given: 1,189 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 30 15-Jul-2017, 11:48 AM (This post was last modified: 15-Jul-2017, 11:49 AM by fftunes.) Maybe that's what he meant? • Posts: 1,590 Threads: 89 Likes Received: 1,283 in 768 posts Likes Given: 1,274 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 31 (15-Jul-2017, 11:48 AM)fftunes Wrote: In the officially released versions so far you can change rate profiles by switches but not profiles. I just automatically assumed if you could change rate profiles that you'd be able to change pid profiles too... carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 • |
