Hubsan h501s Advanced Video Problem
#1
I am new to all this stuff, but I have already lost two Symax8hg . One I never found. The other one I found after it was out in the rain for 3 days. It is waiting for me to put in new electronics. But---after this experience I bought a Hubsan h501s advanced thinking it would be harder to lose. So far I love it, but I am having a problem with it not wanting to record videos.

According to the manual to record a video you press the enter button on the transmitter for about two seconds to start recording. When I do that i get a message that says to "pull the throttle down" and no recording happens. Pulling the throttle down does nothing. It will take photos just fine. It does create a folder on the micro sd card for videos but the folder is empty.I am running v1.1.21 firmware which was installed on the quad when I bought it. I am afraid to try to reinstall it because I see where there are instances where running that version has caused some major problems. It flys great and everthing works like it should for not being able to record videos.

Any ideas on what to try?

Hi bumpie,

Did you ever get an answer? I have exactly the same situation. Although I somehow got the recording started but could not stop it to let the file finalize.

You just press the record button once to start recording and once to stop recording. Maybe this video will help.

Thanks, unseen.

I believe what happened to me was that the SD card on the drone had come loose. Everything was working correctly later on.
It seems that if there is not a card in the SD slot, and you try to record or stop recording with ENTER button, then you get the message :"Pull the Throttle down."
