Hi All!

I need to setup the switch between hdmi and av outputs of camera SIYI A8 mini on RC transmitter. This camera supports both: digital and analog outputs. I have asked siyi if these outputs can work simultaneously and the answer is “Yes”. But there is no possibility to switch stream between digital and analog out of the box (on the fly). It’s something needs to be programmed/configured by clients. I saw there are FPV Video Switchers for analog-only output but I have found nothing for analog<->digital switch. Could you please suggest if there are any ways to implement that?

I assume your RC transmitter accept both HDMI and analog inputs. Are you asking to remotely switch between the two signals?...like while you are flying in the air?

Yes, exactly. Assuming RC can receive both inputs. Yes, switching while flying in the air.

I don't think there is any VTX that will take a HDMI. And HDMI has too much lag to use for flying. All the HD VTX are proprietary. Where the camera connects to the VTX via their own protocol.

Caddx has a new Walksnail Avatar HD VTX coming soon that will take an HDMI input source, but it only takes a digital input and not analog, so even with the pending availability of that new VTX, I don't know how you would be able to achieve a switched digital / analog setup unless you installed 2 VTX's (an analog one and a digital one) and then physically switched those VTX's on and off using some TinysLEDs RealPit VTX Power Switches.
