How to install replacement ESC`s

Hey 


I got a problem with one of my ESC's, im trying to wire in a new ESC but the replacement one has four wires going to the flight controller but my Wizard x220 stock has three, im so confused can anyone help?

Most likely the 4th wire is the ground wire that connects to the flight controller. Is the "extra" wire a thinner black wire? If so, it is probably the ground. You can try not connecting it and see how it works. Some people don't connect the ground.

I've never seen an ESC with four wires to the flight controller. How about posting some photos?

I'm pretty sure he means to the flight stack and is including the +/- to the PDB in his wire count.  (That's how I understood it anyway - understandable for a new guy.) Big Grin

noimad, I'd be more concerned about adding a mismatched esc. I hope the one you are replacing it with is identical in other respects. It might be fine, but I'd be concerned.

Yeah, that makes sense. They didn't bother connecting or even installing the signal grounds on the original ESCs. I always twist ground and signal wires together and connect both.
